Atira at Umeå Demo Day.

Away from our desks and into players’ hands. We brought Atira to MIT-huset at Umeå University for a day of playtesting, feedback, and conversations.

A fresh pair of eyes.

After spending so much time building Atira, we know the arena well. Demo Day gave us a chance to step back and see how other people approached it.

Visitors sat down with the demo while we watched their runs, listened to their reactions, and took notes. The conversations at the table were as useful as the playtesting itself: a chance to ask questions and hear what players thought in their own words.

Back to development.

Atira is still an early demo. Bringing it to an event gives us another perspective on the work ahead, alongside our own testing and plans for the game.

We left with feedback to review and notes to bring into development. There is more work to do, and seeing people spend time with the game helps us keep that work connected to the people playing it.

Thanks for playing.

To everyone who stopped by, tried a run, asked a question, or shared a thought: thank you. We appreciate you taking the time to be part of Atira’s development.
